Our delicious New Year Eve feast! |
Even though I'm very excited about the new year, I'm also sad the holidays are over. The weeks between our wedding and New Year's went by way too fast! When thinking about what resolutions I wanted to make I couldn't help but think about how they never really last. This year I plan on blogging about it and sharing my progress with all of you! Hopefully this will keep me motivated and maybe I will find other bloggers with similiar goals.
Here are my goals for 2012:
- End my relationship with procrastination. Whenever I receive an assignment I will estimate how much time it will take to complete and will schedule to work an equal amount of time each day until the deadline. Throughout my young life this has always been a problem and all it does is cause endless stress!
- Workout 5 days a week. I want to bring down my body fat percentage by 5. I'd also like to improve my eating habits and cardiovascular endurance. I plan on blogging about my progress and tips once a week (Saturdays).
- Blog more consistently. During my first year of blogging I haven't been very consistent. I'm hoping to stick to this schedule even though some weeks might be off (due to holidays, birthdays, finals, etc.) Mon, Wed, Fri - Outfit posts, Sat- Exercise/Diet re-cap, and miscellaneous on other days.
- Save at least 10% of each check. I want to start out our marriage debt-free and have money if an emergency ever occurs. 10% may seem like a little but in the end it will help us out tremendously.
- Prioritize sleep. I have a horrible habit of having days where I sleep 2-3 hours a night and then crash and sleep 15 hours 2 days later. Sound familiar? What can I say, I'm a night owl, but with the way I'm treating my body I'm going to look 50 when I'm 25.
- Enjoy life. I need to stop stressing about the little things and just be happier. Enjoy every little challenge that life has to offer. "Don't worry, be happy.
If you guys have any similar goals shoot me an e-mail or leave me a comment with your blog information! That way we can keep eachother motivated and see how everyone is coming along on reaching their goals. It would be awesome to get your support and I think it will make for a marvelous and fulfilling year!
Lastly, I want to thank you all (both old and new readers) so much for reading and partaking in the journey I have undertaken in starting this blog. I appreciate your love and support and I look forward to the year ahead, I have lots in store!
Those resolutions are so good, I'm sure you'll do great :) I don't know if you remember me from my old blog but I just thought I'd say hi, wish you a happy new year and all the best for the year ahead with your new hubby! x
ReplyDeleteHello :)
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower of your blog. Those are great resolutions. Especially the saving one! My husband and I dug ourselves into a deep hole of debt and it will take us a good 3 years to pay off. While he makes great money and should have a lot of "extra" money left over after bills we are struggling to pay debt.
Good luck with the procrastination thing. I'm totally with you on the getting in better shape thing - since we moved to Europe, I've totally broken the habit I had of working out every day, and it stinks. One of my goals was to get better, but I have no clue how I'm gonna go about doing that. I think I might reintroduce myself to my kettlebell.
ReplyDeleteI really, really need a good sleep schedule, A., and B. I REALLY need to stop procrastinating. Let's do it together Lou!! Or at least try! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely blog comment and the follow...glad it brought me here! Absolutely love the blog. Just starting out so it means a lot.

Hye, this is the first time I'm here. Firstly, this blog is so awesome! Then, for the new year's resolutions, this one, "End my relationship with procrastination. Whenever I receive an assignment I will estimate how much time it will take to complete and will schedule to work an equal amount of time each day until the deadline. Throughout my young life this has always been a problem and all it does is cause endless stress!" is the same one with me! Happy new year!
ReplyDeletemy goals are 100 % same as yours :) :) All the best to you for achieving them :)
ReplyDeleteyour goal no 1 strikes me haha, I should end my relationship with it proscrastination, laziness, especially I'm having my finals next week.
ReplyDeleteI've seen in your previous posts, you took same subject as I do right now, operation management and organizational behavior, in fact I'm currently struggling to work org. behavior.
