For date night last week Daryl and I went over to our good friend Kevin's to roast marshmallows and hangout with both old and new friends. The weather was nice and the smores were oh so delicious! However, prior to the marshmallow roasting we went to Spaghetti Factory and stuffed our faces.. literally, I've never eaten so much in my life. So I only had room for one smore.
We left early because we went to see The Hunger Games. Overall, we thought it was a decent movie but there is ABSOLUTELY no chemistry between the actors playing Katniss and Peeta. That's our personal opinion.
For those of you who have seen the movie, what do you think?
What a very nice meeting with your friends !
ReplyDeletePrecious moments :o)

THANK YOU!!!! I thought there was more chemistry between Katniss and Gale, personally, but whatever.
ReplyDeleteSounds awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI agree! It really seemed so stilted! You two have the best date nights!

I thought the movie was awesome; didn't really notice the chemistry, but I don't think that there is supposed to be that much chemistry vibes coming from Katniss anyway, because she isn't really into him; she's just sort of going along for appearances.

I love bonfires and I saw it and I agree...no chemistry at all. haha..I know zumba is hard that's why I'm nervous to teach it! But I'm going to practice and work hard...hopefully it works out! Thanks for your comment :)
ReplyDeletewe're going on monday! woohoo!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with you about Katniss and Peeta! I thought it was so awkward!
ReplyDeleteAlso, it is still strange to me that your husband and I have the same name and spell it the same way. hahaha!
I like the colour scheme on your blog. I haven't seen the movie yet. I want to considering all the media fuss. Thanks for posting the photos and feel free to drop by me too when you have time.
ReplyDeleteI agree! It was okay but I was wanting more chemistry shown between Katniss and Peeta. Like it the book..they were too breif with the "cave part" (which was my fave. ha.) and they didn't put as much emotion in the ending of the movie as the book had. My opinion. (:
ReplyDeleteoh what a fun night! ;)

I cant wait for our weather to warm up so we can have fires in our backyard. Nothing is better than friends, campfires, and smores!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, smores! You two look so happy :)
ReplyDeleteAbout the movie--I could rant about it for hours haha. I thought the actors were PERFECTLY cast, but the movie itself was so-so. They spent too much time on some things--the beginning--and it felt like the actual Games flew by. I don't think they focused enough on Katniss and Peeta's relationship, which was the whole reason they both survived... I just think they could have spent more time making their relationship believable.
Okay, rant over haha. I hope you enjoyed yourselves on your date night :)
very nice photos! have a nice week!

Sounds like great fun! I haven't seen hunger games yet but have heard alot of mixed opinions about it
ReplyDeleteI think that the book was wayyyy better. There's mad chemistry when reading their love story rather than watching it. As usual..book trumps movie.
ReplyDeleteAww this looks like a perfect night! And I'm so envious, I want to see The Hunger Games too but the Italian release date is on the 1st of May -_-
ReplyDeleteLife is a romantic poem
Mmm, I LOVE spaghetti factory. I always get their cheese ravioli. What a fun night!
ReplyDeleteLooks like such a fun night! You and your husband are super cute :)
ReplyDeleteI thought Peeta and Katniss had tons of chemistry! But I wasn't a fan of Liam Hemsworth as Gale.
I love the combination of stripes you're wearing!
