Baby Harvard

Baby Harvard's last ultrasound May 18, 2012.
I know it says 11w4d but really it was 12w4d (;

Friends! I want to thank all of you who have congratulated us on our little edition! I wish I could go through and thank every one of you who have sent me messages, commented, and contacted me via other social media.  It feels so good to finally be talking about this baby on the way. It’s all that we’ve been thinking and talking about over here at the Harvard residence and I feel that this blog has been so dull since we’ve found out the big news.

I thought it was obvious back in April when blogging slowed down quite a bit. Towards the middle of my first trimester was the hardest I was constantly sick and tired. However, I’m now well into the second trimester and feeling great! Food actually looks good again and my energy levels are back to normal.

So here are the details for those of you who are wondering, I’m currently in my 16th week and on Monday I’ll be officially 17 weeks along. My due date is set for November 26th but I have a feeling this little one will be a little early (;  Most of my close friends and family are shocked that I’m not showing more but baby is perfectly healthy and growing normally so far. We feel so blessed! I absolutely love seeing my little bump grow and I can’t wait until I get to finally feel our little one kick. I could’ve sworn I felt the baby moved Sunday night but I’m not sure..

I’m still going to continue to do outfit posts throughout the entire pregnancy. I’m really excited about doing a little maternity series and inspiring future mamas and current pregnant ladies. I still currently fit into my entire wardrobe and haven’t had to do the little pregnancy rubber bandtrick yet. I’m going to try and go my entire pregnancy without wearing maternity clothes but we’ll see how that goes.

Daryl and I are doing something a little different with finding out our little one’s gender. We’re going to wait until the baby shower to find out. A few friends and family will be finding out here shortly within the next couple of weeks. I’m thinking they’ll throw the shower sometime in September, so you guys have until then to vote (poll is located on the top right hand sidebar) ;P

I will be posting a little pregnancy journal I’ve been keeping since week 10 for you guys, so be sure to check back later this weekend for that!

xx

  5. Congratulations! Pregnancy is the easy part so enjoy =)

    Maternity clothing can get very expensive - and you only wear them for 6 months! I just purchased clothes in a larger size. I did break down and buy a pair of maternity jeans - trust me they are super comfy when you are sporting a big belly =) I got mine from H & M and they were a great price.

    Look forward to reading all your updates =)

  16. Wow congrats Cecilia! I really had no idea either that you were pregnant; you're not showing at all in your recent outfit posts! With two such good looking parents, I have a feeling the baby is going to grow up to be quite the looker! :)

  18. Wow congrats! That's so exciting! Being preg with your first one is an incredibly special time and I wish you the very best!
    Friends had a 'gender reveal' baby shower thing just recently. They had given a friend an envelope from the scanographer that said the gender, and the friend made a beautiful cake that was decorated with pink and blue question marks..and they cut it open to reveal the colour of the actual cake underneath.. (which happened to be pink, not blue!) It was really cool and the photos of them when they saw the colour of the cake was priceless!
