Tomorrow I will be 38 weeks pregnant! It's hard to believe that I'm almost done and that our baby boy will soon be here to join our family. I've been having some painful cramps in my lower back and thigh area the last couple of days and can feel my stomach hardening. I'm pretty sure they're contractions but nothing consistent enough to keep track of. I learned in my lamaze course how to keep track of contractions but I feel that it would be MUCH easier if they were painful so as of right now I'm not really keeping track. Are there any of you out there who were/are in the same boat? If I go into my doctor appointment on Tuesday and haven't dilated or effaced more I will be pretty bummed out that these pains have been for what feels like no reason.
At my baby shower we played a little game where everyone put in their prediction on when Baby Harvard will be born, how much he will weigh, etc. As of this last Friday we're now in what I like to call 'the prediction zone'! My guess was that he would be born this Thursday since Thursdays are normally my husbands day off. However, this week he has Wednesday off so I'm hoping baby decides to come on his day off, Sunday, or later. . no pressure (;

You are so cute! How do you stay so thin during pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteAwe thanks Maren! I haven't done anything really to keep fit during pregnancy, I wish I could say I'm active and super healthy but I would be lying. I should be a lot bigger than I actually am with how lazy I am ;P
DeleteYou will KNOW when it's time to start keeping track of contractions. There is no mistaking when its real labor. =) Can't wait to hear baby news! You look GREAT. Hope all goes smoothly =)

Awww you look so cute!! Can't wait to e-meet the lil guy! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your maternity style! Hopefully baby decides to come soon :)
ReplyDeleteHi! When I had my babies the contractions never hurt until after they broke my water. I had low back ache and a tightening in my belly that came consistently. I was in labor 6 hrs and dilated 5cm before I went to the hospital and had my daughter...with no pain. If you have that tightening feeling for more than an hour at a time, just time them. Nothing fancy, just time when one starts to when the next one starts. You can do it on your cell or just write it down. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your cramps, but I'm glad your baby's coming soon! You look so chic with those cute boots!
ReplyDeleteHow cute are you? You are such a beautiful momma! Love the tights!

Hello, I found your blog a month or so ago and have loved it because we are both 38 weeks pregnant. I have loved seeing your growing bump and your maternity style.
ReplyDeleteI am pregnant with my second baby and this time its a boy. This pregnancy has been very different than my last especially with Braxton Hicks contractions. I don't think I ever felt one but this time around has been completely different. I have been getting them since I was 7 months prego and some of them are as painful as labor contractions. Ready for BHC to stop and real labor to start.
Hahaha I know the prediction game all to well. My first date was yesterday. Another prediction was today. But my due date is not until Thanksgiving so we shall see.
God Bless!

I can't believe you are 38 weeks!! You look amaaaaazing! And the poncho is so dang cute on you! So fun meeting you - we will have to chat more next time!
ReplyDeleteOh, that poncho is perfect!
ReplyDeleteSparkle leggings! So fun and spunky!
ReplyDeleteLove the coat/cape!
ReplyDeleteYou're getting so close how exciting! Don't ignore your back pains because I had ALL back labor with my son. I had no idea what the inconsistent jabs were for a week until they became more consistent the night before and weirdly continued to be back contractions the entire time. But believe me there's NO confusing labor pains ;) best of luck your prince is almost here
