Spring Fashion: How to Dress More Preppy with Sears

Spring is right around the corner and I'm more than ready to say good bye to Winter. Some of my favorite Latest Fashion trends like pastel colors and fun prints are popping up all over the place. I don't know about you but I've found myself more drawn to a preppy style these days. I love the basic look of a bright button up shirt and statement necklace paired with a perfect pair of jeans. Sears has an amazing Spring Fashion collection to add a little bit of prep and color to any wardrobe.

My personal style involves a little bit of everything so I headed off to my local Sears to browse their Spring collection in hopes of finding a few perfect pieces. The Juniors section of the store had quite the selection of different bright colors and fun patterns. Something I really love about Spring Fashion is all of the pastel shades like baby blue, light pink, and mint green. Sears had so many fashionable items which made it difficult for me to narrow it down to a couple basic items that would really make my current wardrobe pop.

Something that really caught my attention was this light pink sweater. What drew me to it was the lace detailing and adorable bow on the back. I think it added the perfect mix of femininity in order to complete my preppy look. If pink isn't your color they also have it in blue, lavender, and red on their site or even more options in store (as seen above). After trying it on I knew it was a must buy but had a feeling that my wardrobe was also in need of something else.

Polo is one of my favorite brands, I think their button up shirts are top notch and I've luckily been able to thrift a few in the past. Unfortunately my Sears store didn't have a huge selection of Polo items but I tried a few shirts on and envisioned what would go best with what I already had in my closet. After thinking about it I realized that I was in need of a great pair of jeans. I hurried back over to the Polo display and found these perfect pair of staple jeans that I can wear all year round.

When checking out, the cashier asked me if I was a Shop Your Way rewards program member, which I would be silly not to be. For those of you who haven't heard of the Shop Your Way rewards program  you get points for every dollar you spend in store and can use them towards a future purchase. How neat is that? I have been accumulating points over the last couple of months and have been able to get awesome deals on items that would have normally been regular price. Also, when you are a Shop Your Way rewards program member you get emails on when you can score more points on specific items.

Some of my favorite preppy prints are stripes, plaid, and polka dots. I didn't want to overdo it and wear all sorts of different prints and pastels so I had to pick a few in order to make this look go together. I went with incorporating shades of mint green, light pink, and baby blue and added a subtle striped print with this top I already had in my wardrobe. I originally wanted to wear a bright shoe but knew my riding boots would really complete the look.

In order to give you guys a better idea on how versatile these two items I recently purchased are, I included 2 bonus looks. One more dressed up and the other dressed down. Be sure to check out my Spring catalog HERE to see some other preppy pieces I have my eyes on.
