Before and After: Arms | Dearest Lou

Before and After: Arms

Please don't mind the dorky face I'm making in the August 2013 photo, I never intended on sharing photos from that day and my sister was making me laugh.

If you follow me on instagram I occasionally post about my fitness journey. I'm not sure if anyone would be interested in me posting every now and again about fitness here on Dearest Lou, but I personally love reading other peoples fitness journeys.

I had my husband take some pictures of my arms today so I could do a little before and after arm picture to share on instagram. When looking back at my arms in August 2013 I honestly couldn't believe that was me only 9 months prior.

I've always been insecure about my upper arms (I naturally store weight and fat there no matter how fit I am). For once in my life I feel like I have regular arms and I'm not embarrassed about them. I haven't done anything in particular to tone my arms except eating a more clean diet and working out consistently.

My goal by the end of summer is to be able to do 1 regular pull up and 25 regular pushups. My arms are very weak but I'm slowly working on gaining muscle and strength.

If anyone would be interested in a bunch of before/after photos and my full fitness journey experience let me know and I will start working on putting something together.

    1. Anyone can do it, it honestly just takes time which is the hardest part about the whole process. I will be sure to include some of my workouts in my future post! Some of my favorites are running, hiking, zumba toning, and insanity.
