The holiday season is such a fun and busy time of year. I always find myself with a lot more on my to-do list with so many events and party’s going on. Although life is busy I think it’s incredibly important to find time to hangout and go on dates with your significant other. Daryl and I have been together for over 4 years and have always made date night a priority. Whether it’s going out on a date to a movie, double date night rock climbing with friends, or a romantic stay-at-home date night we always do something together.

Some date nights are spent with other couples and some are just the two of us. My favorite date nights are when my parents take Zaden for a night. Daryl and I have time to ourselves and we don’t feel rushed.

During the holiday season there are usually a lot of expenses involved, lately we have been doing things at home to save extra money. This week we made cupcakes and cuddled on the couch for a movie. With that being said we made some delicious festive cupcakes and had a nice relaxing evening.

Here’s a couple photos of us making and decorating the cupcakes and a couple of selfies we took just for fun.
Smiles and Grumpy Faces
I told Daryl to kiss me in the first picture and he thought I said "kissy face" HA!
Next photo is his "kiss me" photo pose.. typical Daryl.

I don’t want to get too far into our personal life but if you want to make your date night extra special KY Yours+Mine Gel can really spice up your evening. There will be a special edition KY Yours+Mine Gel (pictured below) shipping to a Walmart near you in January 2015. The coupon is a $50 value which includes 1 free meal for two people from PEACHDISH.com delivered to your door and a $5 VUDU movie credit to stream at the comfort of your home. Perfect for a date night in.
Be sure to check out K-Y Yours+Mine in the family planning section at Walmart. If you are feeling a bit bashful you can shop discreetly online at Walmart.com.

  1. My husband and I have been in a relationship for almost 8 years and married for almost 3. 'Lifers,' I guess since we are in our early 20's. :) I made it one of my 101 in 1,001 goals for us to have 4 dates (big or small) every month. I find that we get busy and then end up having less time for the fun stuff like that, which in turn makes us more stressed. So far it is going really well. It helps me also realize (because 4 is kind of a lot of 'official' dates) that even smaller things can be a date when you do them intentionally. I like how you and your husband are doing holiday things together and saving money in the process. So cool. We had a 'Love Actually' and Hot Schnaapslate night the other night. It was just in our living room, but it was festive and a fun date night. XO -Alexandra
