It's no secret that Zaden loves ice cream. Just mentioning ice cream makes this little guy so happy. The last few days have been nice and warm and with warm weather the thought of ice cream sounds refreshing. I told Zaden that we would head over to our local Walmart to pick up ice cream. His eye's immediately lit up and he made his little "ice cream" noise, which sort of sounds and looks like this, except much cuter of course.
We got in the car and headed over to our local Walmart. I knew immediately that I wanted to try Dreyer's New Frozen Custard. The product itself was a little tricky to find since it wasn't located with all of the other frozen ice creams. The product was located at the frozen foods endcap and we almost walked right by it (see photo below).
One can't go wrong with old fashion vanilla. It's perfect for topping or just for a sweet treat on its own. I also wanted to try one of the other 4 flavors, Zaden picked the peanut butter pie flavor. Ice cream custard, chocolate, and peanut butter are all of our favorite sweet things. Our family of three goes through a jar of peanut butter every week, we can't get enough (;
Once we got home I thought it would be fun to do a little ice cream topping bar. Zaden helped me clear off the table and we started setting up. Since Zaden has been my little helper in the kitchen for almost a year now he knows the routine and is very helpful and patient. Once I got a few detail photos I let him have at it. He was seriously thrilled to see so many delicious items all at one time.
Zaden made a delicious sundae using Dreyer's Frozen Custard Old Fashioned Vanilla. After having a few bites of his sundae I really noticed how creamy it was and really loved the extra thickness.
I had 1/2 a cup of Dreyer's Frozen Custard Peanut Butter Chocolate. Now let me tell you, this frozen custard is AMAZING. A rich creamy blend of sweet cream frozen custard with plenty of chocolate cookie pieces and peanut butter swirls in every bite. It also has that extra thick and creamy texture that I love.
Needless to say Dreyer's Frozen Custard was a hit! Major thumbs up Dreyer's.
Such a fun mama and son stay-at-home date.
