Front Runner and Colorblock Shirt

Shirt: c/o 6KS
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Nordstrom
Necklaces: TJ Maxx and Charlotte Russe (similar)
Lipstick: Bare Minerals Call The Shots

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago when my sister, Zaden, and I took the Front Runner to Provo to meet up with Daryl to go out to dinner for my brother-in-laws birthday. Zaden had so much fun on the Front Runner, especially since he didn't have to be in his car seat and got to sit in the seats like a big boy (; He loved looking at all of the horses on the ride there. He was really well behaved until the last 10 minutes or so, that's when he decided he wanted to wander around and I had to put him in his car seat for the second to last stop before we reached Provo.

I wanted to dressed up casual for the dinner and this colorblock shirt was the perfect piece to style my outfit around. I can't say enough good things about this shirt! It's easily one of my favorites and perfect for this crazy Utah "Spring" weather we've been having. I decided to style it with two necklaces, skinny jeans, and my colorblock flats.

PS: Today is the last day to enter the Get Fresh Giveaway!

These two..

.. are always ganging up on me (;
In the last picture Daryl is telling Zaden to whack me with the plant.

I love watching them grow closer and closer together as Z gets older.

Tayson Drew

You may or may not remember this maternity shoot I shot back in February but my sweet friend Hillary had her baby boy earlier this month. He is seriously the chunkiest little newborn and has quite the head of hair (he get's it from his mama). I met him when he was only a few days old and had to capture a few quick shots. I'm so excited that they are coming over to visit Zaden and I later today (;

Get Fresh Product Review and Giveaway

I’m excited to introduce you guys to an amazing skin care company, Get Fresh. I’m all about supporting local business’ whenever possible, especially ones that sale amazing and affordable skin care products. Normally I’m not one to do many product reviews but I had to make an exception for this amazing company since I totally believe in what they stand for. A portion of all sales go to giving back to US Veteran organizations like Healing 4 Heroes and Wounded Warrior.
Get Fresh is a family run skin care business that began serving customers in 1997 from their corporate headquarters in Santa Monica, California. They offer high quality, spa-strength, botanical-based products. Their products are natural, paraben-free, and smell amazing! You can read more about their company here.

I was recently contacted by Get Fresh to review their Look Better Naked 3-Step body treatment set in the Lemongrass scent.  When I received the package I was beyond excited to smell and try out my Look Better Naked 3-Step body treatment set. I was surprised to see not only the body treatment set but that they also threw in a bottle of hand lotion and 2 packages of bath salt in their newest scent, blackberry vanilla (which smells AMAZING by the way) and a few body butter samples in different scents. I think this was a great marketing move on their part because now I want to buy a 3-Step body treatment set in every fragrance (;
After using the products I have to admit I’m hooked. I have really dry skin and it’s critical that I use lotion on a daily basis. The body butter is perfect for my dry skin and leaves even the driest of dry skins noticeably softer. I’m also in love with the body scrub since it helps me scrub all of my excess dead skin cells leaving my skin soft and squeaky clean. I purchased a similar product from another company a few months back and just the body scrub alone cost me $30.

I’m so happy that I’ve found a US company that offers even better results and that I can get a whole skin care kit for only $29.80. I highly recommend Get Fresh if you are looking for spa quality products to use at home.

I absolutely love this polka dotted one piece bathing suit. I love the vintage vibe of the swimsuit, the flirty ruffles at the sides, and the super low back with the cute mesh heart. I think the look would be completed with this gorgeous tunic crochet cover-up and these strappy Steve Madden wedges.

I'm really loving this colorblock dress and think it would be perfect for date night. I like that it hits and the knees, has capped sleeves, and has pops of red. I think it would look super cute styled with these leopard print pumps and this white bag, I love that the bag is lined red on the inside.

Park Hangouts and Wearing Change

Mama wore:
Bracelet: c/o Threads
Shirt: Target
Jacket: Forever 21 (similar here, here, and here on sale too!)
Jeans: Rue 21
Boots: Nordstrom (similar)
Lipstick: MAC Morange

Z wore:
Hat: Baby Gap
Sweater: Gymboree
Jeans: Oshkosh
Nikes: Nordstrom (loving these)

This summer is going to be so much fun now that Zaden is walking, exploring, and wanting to be outside. We have already spent countless hours at parks over the last couple of weeks but I cannot wait to play sans jackets. Zaden loves going down slides and observing other children playing, he especially enjoys going to the park with his toddler friends (;

On another note, how lovely is this bracelet from Threads? I love the simplicity of the bracelet and that it is subtle yet eye catching. I chose the silver pixie since it's a bit more versatile and will go with just about anything in my wardrobe.

Here is a little bit about Threads from their website:

Threads is a cause driven business that changes the future of at risk youth. They come from various backgrounds, but all have one thing in common, they want to break the cycle. By employing them, we instill values of self reliance and hard work. They are paid fair wages for the bracelets they make, and in turn are able to pay their way through school. Many of Threads employees are first generation college students. They dream of becoming nurses, broadcasters, writers and engineers.

Cozy Hats and Skinny Jeans

Mama wore:
Hat: c/o Cozy Knots
Shirt: Kingdom and State
Vest: DIY gift from sister (similar)
Jeans: Old Navy
Converse: Nordstrom
Necklace: Style Lately
Bracelet: Flourish Leather
Lipstick: MAC Heroine

Z wore:
Hat: c/o Cozy Knots
Shirt: Peek
Sweater: Baby Gap
Jeans: Baby Gap (loving these)
Socks: Gymboree
Shoes: Baby Gap (loving these)

Just a casual everyday mama and baby style. Whenever I go shopping I try not to wear tons of layers and stick to more basic items so that it's easier to get in and out of the dressing room. High Tops probably weren't the best choice of shoe since it takes a minute to take them off and lace them back up (;

We are still loving & getting good use out of our Cozy Knots beanies that we reviewed back in December. Utah can't seem to decide whether or not it should be Spring.

PS: Cozy Knots has very cute knit bow bundles for $5 that would make a great Eater Basket stuffer for those of you who have little ladies in your life (;

Family Hike

I've never been much of a hiker but it's an activity I've always been interested in. Living in Utah there are so many beautiful mountains and hidden treasures to discover. I seem to take the beautiful scenery for granted and don't do much exploring. Daryl recently suggested that we start doing more activities out of our comfort zone and suggested that we Hike the Y a few Saturday's back. I knew it was an uphill hike but didn't expect it to be as hard as it was. Daryl carried Zaden half of the way and I carried him in my sling the other half and all the way down. It was quite the workout for an amateur hiker and to say I was a sweaty mess afterwords would be an understatement (;

Here are a few pictures from our little family adventure:
