March 2012 | Dearest Lou

Japanese curry, dear friends, and Portlandia

Last Saturday we had some of our dear friends over to see our new place and eat Japanese curry. It was so nice seeing some of our friends we haven't seen in a while. Kandice and her cute family came down and they also brought my little sister which was awesome. I had a great time talking with everyone and seeing what is new in everyone's lives.

Here are some pictures from our night:
Kandice you've got Daryl and I hooked on Portlandia. I don't think he finds it as genius as I do but he's been watching it with me anyway. We watched the entire first season last night, thank you.

One of our favorite scenes from episode 3 last night:

Curate a collection pants and my vintage floral vest

This whole week I haven't really felt like dressing up. However, I had to go to school today and didn't want to look like a slob in sweats again. So I decided I would wear these amazing pants that Suglarlips Apparel sent me last week. Not only are they unique, but they're extremely comfortable! These pants go with pretty much anything, for today's outfit I decided to dress them up with a dark gray t-shirt and my favorite vintage floral vest. I would highly recommend them to women of all different shapes and sizes, especially if you're looking for more comfortable bottoms. They are also currently on sale right now, how awesome is that?!

You might have recognized this lovely necklace from my engagement pictures. I absolutely love this necklace and it dresses up any look. My dear friend Hillary bought it for an early birthday gift last year just in time for my engagement session. Absolutely love all of the little details, she knows me too well. :P

Final pictures from the photo shoot

These pictures were also taken at the Avenues. Jess and I had to park in someone's parking spot in order to capture these few shots before the sun went down. She's so good at working under pressure and getting the best pictures! Just so you all know she also shoots in Florida so if any of you lovely readers need a photographer whether it be in Utah or Florida. . GO WITH SCHELL PHOTOGRAPHY, you WON'T regret it!

I really like this outfit it has such a vintage feel to it. These are my favorite pair of oxfords and they look extremely similar to a pair I saw on Mod Cloth that I absolutely adored. However, these were much more budget friendly and only were $7 at Target. I love Target, you can always find such steals there! I also absolutely love these huge dangly earrings but they are so dang heavy, do you ever have a problem with heavy earrings, or is it just me?

Photo shoot part 3

These pictures were taken at The Avenue's in downtown Salt Lake City. It was a pain walking up and down the streets but we got some pretty good shots. These are a few of my favorite pictures from the shoot:

Photo shoot part 2

These pictures were also taken at American Fork Canyon just in a different location and a different outfit that I changed into in the car. It was super slippery going down the hill in these heels and Jess and I almost fell countless times! Here are some of my favorite pictures from the rest of this part of the shoot, enjoy:

Photo shoot part 1 and giveaway winners!

Back at the end of January my dear friend and amazing wedding photographer Jessalyn Schell contacted me about doing a fashion shoot! I was so excited and we decided to start shooting as soon as Daryl and I moved back up to Provo at the beginning of February.

Looking back at these pictures I don't miss the snow AT ALL! It was so cold but the fashion shoot was definitely worth it. I remember Jess took her little car and we ended up getting stuck in the canyon! It took us almost an hour to push her car out and luckily this sweet man helped us. Once we were out we thanked him and funny thing is we ended up getting stuck again.. so not only did he help us once but twice! Here are the pictures from the rest of the first part of the shoot, hope you enjoy them!

I am so ready for school to be out! There's a little over a month left but it feels like it's dragging on. The weather here in Utah decided to go back to normal and it's cold again. It probably looks like a nice warm day outside in the pictures above but it was seriously freezing!

I bought that little shirt at Plato's Closet last Saturday because they had this special over down at their Taylorsville location, for every $1 you spent from March 1-March 16 you'd get back in "FREE" clothes on St. Patrick's Day! It was a pretty awesome deal. So technically I only paid half of what the price tag said so $5, not bad for an awesome shirt.
