Girls Night with Redken Color Rebel

Prior to adding balyage highlights to my hair this spring and summer I had never colored my hair before. Adding the little bit of light brown and blonde was a pretty big deal for me and it’s been a fun change.  I’ve seen all over social media that girls have been adding trendy pastels and wild colors into their hair. Although I think this would be so fun to do, I don’t know if I could fully commit to it (;

Using makeup technology with direct color pigments, Redken has release Color Rebel which is basically makeup for hair! Redken sent me two colors to test out, Red-y to Rock and Gilty as Charged. Since I already have quite a bit of blonde throughout my hair I didn’t think the Gilty as Charged    Gold Shimmer would really stand out and instantly thought this would be a fun girls night activity to do with my little sister.

It was so fun to play hair stylist with each other and add the temporary color to our hair. I’ve always wondered what I would look like with a little bit of red in my hair and this was a fun way to see firsthand how it would look. The red is very bold and fun. My sister and I both agree that we like the red more and that the gold shimmer looked cheaper since it’s just glitter and doesn’t really add any blonde to your hair.
If you are looking to add a little bit of color to your hair for a concert, to pull off a certain look, or for your Halloween costume this month; Redken Color Rebel is a fun way to do that without the color getting all over your clothes. It also removes after 2-3 hair washes or instantly with Redken Hair Cleansing Cream.
Color Rebel hair makeup will be available in salons nationwide this month. Ask your salon nearest you for availability.

Be sure to check out Redken on their website and social media sites:
